Lesson Information

When a student's application for a course has been accepted, the student will receive a study guide containing all lesson assignments. Lessons may be submitted immediately following enrollment according to the schedule in the course packet. It is recommended that all students retain copies of all lessons before submitting them via e-mail or the U.S. Postal Service. Also, you may only submit a maximum of two (2) lessons at a time (4 in a 7 day period), and lessons marked as incomplete (I) must be resubmitted.

Electronically: Lessons are submitted and received electronically via Angel, a secure online learning environment.
This submission option is only available for the Cyber Courses offered by the Department of Independent Study.

Receiving Graded Lessons

Students should receive their graded lessons within three weeks after the Department of Independent Study receives their lesson. Please be aware that at certain times of the year instructors may not be available for rapid grading of assignments and exams. This is particularly true during winter holidays, at the end of the semester and during the summer months.

If you have any questions, please feel free to call the Department of Independent Study at (877)915-7313 or email us at indstudy@olemiss.edu.
