INTRODUCTION TO RELIGION
INTRODUCTION
The purpose of Religion 101 is to offer an objective presentation of the beliefs and practices of the major religions of the world of both past and present. This study will be concerned with the
origin and founding of particular religions, the historical development of each, and the existing forms of living religions of the present day.
It is hoped that the student will approach this course with objectivity, seeking to be critical without bias, inquiring with sympathy and tolerance, and that he will come to an appreciation of the religious quest of the people of different
heritages and cultures.
This course offers three (3) hours of academic credit.
MID-COURSE TEST AND FINAL EXAMINATION
The student will take a Mid-Course Test and Final Examination at a physical
location in a college or university setting. Detailed instructions and
Mid-Course Test and Final Examination applications are included in the
online syllabus. Information regarding tests and procedures can be found in General Information.
