INTRODUCTION TO ADVERTISING
INTRODUCTION
Marketing 353 is designed to give the business student a broad understanding of advertising and the role that it plays in modern
and dynamic economy. The part that advertising plays in bringing about the mass distribution
and a higher standard of living is
especially emphasized. A major portion of the course is devoted to a study of what is involved in creating effective advertising,
what advertising is designed to accomplish, how these goals are attained,
and what people and agencies are involved. In addition to acquiring knowledge of these areas,
the student should attain a working knowledge of source of information needed in the field and have a
better understanding of the basic vocabulary of the profession.
This course offers three (3) hours of academic credit.
MID-COURSE TEST AND FINAL EXAMINATION
The student will take a Mid-Course Test and Final Examination at a physical
location in a college or university setting. Detailed instructions and
Mid-Course Test and Final Examination applications are included in the
online syllabus. Information regarding tests and procedures can be found in General Information.
