PERSONAL AND COMMUNITY HEALTH
INTRODUCTION
Health and Safety 191 is a comprehensive health course designed to provide
current knowledge in the principles and practices of a healthful lifestyle and
to foster an awareness of the benefits of such a lifestyle in all aspects of the
individual's environment. The course consists of 15 lessons with reading and
writing assignments from the assigned textbook.
This course offers three (3) hours of academic credit.
COURSE EXAMS AND FINAL EXAMINATION
The student will take TWO Course Exams and a Final Examination at a physical location in a college or university setting. Detailed instructions and Course Exam and Final Examination applications are included in the syllabus. Information regarding tests and procedures can be found in General Information.
INSTRUCTOR
Dr. Michael Dupper is an assistant professor of Exercise Science and Leisure Management.
He holds a B.S. from Manhattan College, a M.S. from The University of Wisconsin at LaCrosse
and a Ed.D. from The University of Mississippi.
