OFFICE APPLICATIONS
INTRODUCTION
This course is an introduction to the use of computers with emphasis on the Windows platform and the Microsoft Office 2003 suite of application tools. It can not be used to satisfy computer science major requirements.
The student will learn the basic components of the four most popular Microsoft Office 2003 programs: Word (word processor), Excel (spreadsheet), PowerPoint (presentation), and Access (database). There are 15 lesson units. Units 1 – 14 consist of textbook tutorials, homework assignments, and assignments utilizing the SAM software required for the course. The final unit is an integration project that includes all four Office applications.
This course offers three (3) hours of academic credit.
COURSE EXAMS AND FINAL EXAMINATION
The student will take TWO Course Exams and a Final Examination at a physical location in a college or university setting. Detailed instructions and Course Exam and Final Examination applications are included in the syllabus. Information regarding tests and procedures can be found in General Information.
