CRIMINAL PROCEDURE
INTRODUCTION
This course will discuss the process of investigating criminal activity,
arresting suspects and the pre-trial preparation which takes place in
our criminal justice system. It is a course about enforcing the criminal
laws of our nation while complying with the 4th, 5th, 6th and 14th Amendments
to the United States Constitution. Finally, it is a course about individual
rights and police responsibility. There will be 12 lessons with a mid-course
test after lesson 7.
This course offers three (3) hours of academic credit.
MID-COURSE TEST AND FINAL EXAMINATION
The student will take a Mid-Course Test and Final Examination at a physical
location in a college or university setting.
COURSE APPROVAL
The course is approved by the chair of the Department of Political Science,
College of Liberal Arts, at The University of Mississippi. The instructor is
appointed by the department chair.
INSTRUCTOR
Dr. Charlie Clark is a Professor of Criminal Justice in the Department
of Applied Sciences, Legal Studies Program.
