LAW ENFORCEMENT PROCESS AND POLICY
INTRODUCTION
Police Processes and Policy is a field of study that will help prospective
police administrators to determine the influences of the decision-making
process. The course is primarily for law enforcement professionals, but
supervisors and administrators in all professions will benefit.
Management permeates every aspect of our society and has proven effective in
meeting the demands of a highly industrialized society. Management serves as a
positive vehicle in arranging material and human resources to accomplish desired
goals. Never in the history of humankind has management played such an
important role in the destiny of people. It exerts a dynamic influence on every
facet of human existence through organizations such as business, education, and
government.
This course offers three (3) hours of academic credit.
MID-COURSE TEST AND FINAL EXAMINATION
The student will take a Mid-Course Test and Final Examination at a physical
location in a college or university setting. Detailed instructions and
Mid-Course Test and Final Examination applications are included in the online
syllabus.
COURSE APPROVAL
The course is approved by the chair of the Department of Political Science,
College of Liberal Arts, at The University of Mississippi. The instructor is
appointed by the department chair.
INSTRUCTOR
Dr. Chester Quarles is a Professor of Criminal Justice in the Department of
Applied Sciences, Legal Studies Program.
