Program Overview

Welcome!

As a study abroad student from one of the University of Mississippi international exchange partner institutions, you are a welcome visitor to our campus. You’re more than a visitor, though, as an exchange student you’re offered the same services and opportunities as degree-seeking University of Mississippi students. While at the University of Mississippi you will be given support from the Study Abroad Office, the Office of International Programs, and by the various academic and student services departments. As a visiting student you may enroll in a variety of academic courses from different departments, live on or off campus and engage in numerous student organizations and campus activities.

In addition, the Study Abroad Office [SAO] organizes the Global Ambassador program, a student mentorship program that pairs you with a U.S. student who is ready to welcome you to campus and act as a mentor throughout your semester. The SAO also organizes activities and excursions especially for exchange students — depending on whether it is fall or spring semester we’ll organize excursions to Memphis, Nashville, Atlanta and even locally for a day at Sardis Lake or an evening at Ground Zero Blues Club.

As an exchange student you are also provided airport transfers at the beginning and end of the semester free of charge. The SAO also loans you a set of linens to use throughout the semester. As an exchange student may receive a scholarship that covers full tuition, partial tuition, or full tuition & housing & meals. Please consult with your university and the section on fees & finances to determine your full program cost.
