How to Apply

• UM Application Form
• Affidavit of Financial Support
• Evidence of Sufficient Funds (bank statements/letters; outlined in Affidavit of Financial Support)
  
• Nomination Letter from Home Institution (if coming as exchange student)
  
• Academic Transcript from Home University
  
• Copy of official TOEFL, IELTS, or PTE-A score report**; students from partner institutions can supply a letter of English proficiency from the partner institution in lieu of the official score report
• Copy of identification page of passport
• Course Request Form

NOTE: ISEP and IIE Fulbright students should apply first through ISEP or IIE.

** Admissions recommendations for TOEFL or IELTS scores are as follows:

Full Academic Program	79 or above	550 or above	6 or above	53 or above
Academic Program with one Intensive English course	69-78	523-549	5.5-5.99	47-52
Full Intensive English Program	68 or below	522 or below	5.49 or below	46 or below

Application Deadlines:

April 1 for Summer terms
April 15 for the Fall Semester
October 15 for the Spring Semester
