How to Apply
The Study Abroad Office at the University of Mississippi enthusiastically welcomes incoming exchange students to our community. Students interested in studying abroad at Ole Miss for a semester or year should check with their home university to see if an exchange agreement has been signed. You may also check the UM Exchange Partner List.
Once you have confirmed that an exchange agreement is on file, you must apply for admittance to The University of Mississippi. Application materials include the following:
- Application Form - please complete either the online application or download and submit the completed paper application. Click here for the online and paper applications.
- Affidavit of Financial Support including bank statements / letter of scholarship
- Letter of Recommendation from Home Institution
- Confirmation of Academic Good Standing (official transcript from home institution)
- Official IELTS or TOEFL Score (recommended but not required for exchange students. Students who do not provide an official IELTS or TOEL score report should submit a letter of recommendation from their home institution confirming their language proficiency.*)
- Copy of identification page in passport, if available
NOTE: ISEP and IIE Fulbright students do not need to complete the UM application forms. They should apply through ISEP or IIE.
* If an IELTS or TOEFL score is not provided we strongly suggest that students take the English placement test upon arrival to campus.
Application Deadlines:
April 15 for the Fall Semester
October 15 for the Spring Semester
