INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY FORUM & TECHNOLOGY EXPO
The Mississippi Research Consortium and the Mississippi Technology Alliance
invite all those interested to the Inaugural Intellectual Property Forum & Technology
Expo, this November 30th – December 1st at the Marriott Downtown Jackson, located
at 200 East Amite Street in Jackson, Mississippi.
We hope to have a very strong showing from researchers out of the Mississippi
research universities, including the University of Mississippi, the University of
Mississippi Medical Center, Mississippi State University, Jackson State University
and the University of Southern Mississippi, in a wide range of disciplines. The
goal of this meeting is to bring these university researchers together with
business leaders and venture capitalists and allow them an opportunity to present
company ideas and unique technologies available for licensing and explore
opportunities for collaborative research to solve real business problems.
The schedule of events includes a pre-conference Golf Outing being
sponsored and coordinated by the Mississippi Technology Alliance on
November 30th. This will be followed by a welcome reception from 5:30 – 7:00
p.m at the Marriott, including a poster session with research from each
University being displayed. The main program will begin on December 1st
at 8:30 a.m. and will include oral presentations from each of the universities,
as well as a luncheon program, and continued viewing of the poster presentations.
Information for presenters: The standard poster size for the IP Forum &
Technology Expo should be 60" x 36". There will be display boards available
at the hotel at no charge to you. Limited space is available for
presentations, so please reserve as soon as possible.
A block of rooms has been set up at the Marriott, at a rate of
$79/night for this event. If you would like to make a reservation,
please call the hotel directly and tell them you are with the "MRC"
group. Their number is 601-969-5100.
There is no fee for this event, but online registration is requested by October 30, 2004.
