2003 “NOVEL IDEAS” WORKSHOP

FEATURED SPEAKERS

Margaret-Love Denman is the author of A Scrambling After Circumstance, a Barnes and Noble “Discover Great New Writers” pick. She is the Director of the Creative Writing Program at the University of New Hampshire, where she teaches fiction and novel writing.

Barbara Shoup is the author of four novels: Night Watch, Wish You Were Here, Stranded in Harmony and Faithful Women.
She is the writer-in-residence at the Writers’ Center of Indiana, where she directs “The Way Writers Write,” a series of writing workshops for high school English teachers, and is co-host of the Center’s radio show, “Bookends.” She is also a contributing editor to the Chicago fiction magazine, Other Voices. Her young adult novels, Wish You Were Here and Stranded in Harmony, were selected as American Library Association Best Books for Young Adults.
