Directions
The University of Mississippi is located in the town of Oxford, which is in the north-central part of the state. The two main roads leading into Oxford are State Highways 6 (E/W) and 7 (N/S). The nearest Interstate Highway is I-55, which is the north-south corridor connecting Memphis, TN, and Jackson, MS. The Ole Miss campus is located within the city limits of Oxford just north of Highway 6.
There is no commercial airport in Oxford. The nearest international airport is Memphis
(TN) International Airport which is located approximately 75 miles
northwest of Oxford. The Tupelo Regional Airport is located approximately 60 miles east of Oxford. Shuttle service between Memphis International
Airport and Oxford will be available to participants for an additional
fee (see registration site).
If you are driving from Memphis International Airport, start out going west on Winchester Road towards Elvis Presley Boulevard/TN-3/US-51 by turning left. Turn right onto Elvis Presley Boulevard/TN-3/US-51. Turn right onto East Brooks Road. Take the I-55 South exit. Take the MS-6 East exit—exit number 243A towards Oxford. Drive about 22 miles on Highway 6. As you come into Oxford on Highway 6, take the exit at Old Taylor Road. Follow the signs to campus, going north on Old Taylor Road until you come to the three-way stop at University Avenue (approximately one-half mile). Turn left on University Avenue, and continue approximately 50 yards to a four-way stop. Turn right at the four-way stop. The E. F. Yerby Conference Center will be the first building on your right.
Tupelo Regional Airport is located on the northwest side of the City of
Tupelo near Tupelo Furniture Market. The Tupelo Airport Authority
Administrative Office is located at 2704 West Jackson, and the
commercial terminal is located at 2763 West Jackson Street. PLEASE NOTE: We will not be making shuttle service available between Tupelo Regional
Airport and Oxford. If you are driving from Tupelo Regional Airport,
turn left out of the airport entrance onto Jackson Extended. Go to the
first red light and turn right on Coley Road. At the next red light,
turn left onto McCullough Boulevard. Go approximately 2 miles and take
US-78W. From US-78, take the Sherman exit (MS State Highway 9). At the
bottom of the exit ramp, turn left. Go approximately 10-15 miles and
turn right on Highway 76 toward Oxford. Highway 76 becomes Highway 6
which passes through Oxford. As you come into Oxford on Highway 6, take
the exit at Old Taylor Road. Follow the signs to campus, going north on
Old Taylor Road until you come to the three-way stop at University
Avenue (approximately one-half mile). Turn left on University Avenue,
and continue approximately 50 yards to a four-way stop. Turn right at
the four-way stop. The E. F. Yerby Conference Center will be the first
building on your right.
If you are driving on I-55 from the South, take exit 243-A at Batesville to Highway 6 (East). Drive about 22 miles on Highway 6. As you come into Oxford on Highway 6, take the exit at Old Taylor Road. Follow the signs to campus, going north on Old Taylor Road until you come to the three-way stop at University Avenue (approximately one-half mile). Turn left on University Avenue, and continue approximately 50 yards to a four-way stop. Turn right at the four-way stop. The E. F. Yerby Conference Center will be the first building on your right.
If you are driving from Atlanta or Birmingham, stay on I-20 until you can get on US 78-W. After you pass Tupelo, Mississippi, take the Sherman exit and turn left onto Highway 9. Drive about 10 miles on Highway 9, then turn right onto Highway 76. Highway 76 becomes Highway 6 which passes through Oxford. As you come into Oxford on Highway 6, take the exit at Old Taylor Road. Follow the signs to campus, going north on Old Taylor Road until you come to the three-way stop at University Avenue (approximately one-half mile). Turn left on University Avenue, and continue approximately 50 yards to a four-way stop. Turn right at the four-way stop. The E. F. Yerby Conference Center will be the first building on your right.
