The Mississippi Department of Education would like to invite you to present at the Summer Conference to be held June 5-7, 2006, at the University of Mississippi in Oxford, MS. This year's conference theme is "TRAIN: Teachers-Rigor-Administrators/Leaders-Involvement-Network of Support" which embraces the state's priority to provide a quality education for every child.
The goal of the Summer Conference is to advance the efforts of state educators and administrators by providing professional development that will help districts overcome challenges with research-based action steps that will accelerate student achievement. Conference strands will address:

The Summer TRAIN Conference will provide educators with professional development relevant to their respective areas of responsibility to ensure that they are equipped with the necessary knowledge and tools to positively impact student achievement.
Educators, administrators, parents, pre-service teachers, paraprofessionals, legislators, business and community leaders, and Department of Education personnel are encouraged to attend.
