IEP students have manyoptions available for housing during their stay in Oxford.
UM RESIDENCE HALLS
On-campus housing is available for students only. No on-campus housing is available for faculty, staff, or scholar researcher/professors.
Accommodations for Students
The University maintains residence halls for undergraduate and graduate students. All residence hall rooms are equipped with furniture and utilities essential for comfortable living. High-speed internet access is provided in each room for students who own their own computers. Students must provide their own linens, pillows, and personal items such as telephones, radios, and lamps.

OFF-CAMPUS HOUSING FOR STUDENTS, FACULTY, STAFF, AND SCHOLARS
Most apartments in Oxford require long-term leases of at least one-year. Most leases follow the University’s academic year, with leases starting on August 1 and running through July 31 of the following year. It is often possible to sub-lease apartments in the middle of the year, but most sub-leases must run through July 31. It is common for most landlords to require you to pay a deposit which is equal to one month’s rent when you sign a lease for an apartment or house. Be sure to read through the terms of your lease carefully before signing. By signing a lease, you are promising to pay the landlord for the entire time listed on the lease. Ending a lease early or violating the lease agreement can cost you the rental deposit for the apartment or house.
Additionally, most apartments are unfurnished. There are a few furnished apartments in the area. Most of the furnished apartments are listed below. It is best to check with the landlord of the apartment or house about whether furnished housing is available.

UTILITIES
Like most apartments, utility services such as electricity and water service require that you make a deposit when setting up an account. Deposits usually equal the cost of 1 month to 2 months of service. Some apartments are considered within Oxford City Limits and use Oxford city utility services, while others will be included with the Lafayette County systems. Also, some apartments provide utilities included with the cost of rent. Check with your apartment complex or landlord’s office to see what utilities are necessary and which utility providers you must use.
