Upon request and prior arrangement, the Intensive English Program is able to offer short term/intensive intensive English courses for groups or ten or more students. This opportunity is typically available during the summer months.
As with the regular full-time courses in the IEP, all of a group’s participants are tested for English proficiency upon arrival, so that instruction can begin at the most appropriate level.
All participants are permitted full access to UM facilities and can take advantage of cultural and sporting events on campus.
Program highlights include:
- Orientation
- Placement testing
- Twenty hours per week of English language instruction in Speaking, Listening, Writing, and Reading
- Certificates of completion or participation
- Access to UM facilities and events
