Student Social Work Organization Hosts Health Fair

2009 SSWO Health Fair Volunteers

April 22, 2009... The University of Mississippi-DeSoto honored over 250 graduates during its annual Graduation Celebration held April 14 at the DeSoto Center in Southaven. The graduates in bachelor's, master's, specialist's, and doctorate degree programs will receive their degrees on May 9 during the commencement exercises held on The University of Mississippi main campus in Oxford.

Members of the UM-DeSoto faculty and staff also recognized the outstanding students of the 2008-09 school year during the event. Receiving these subject-area awards are: (Front L to R): Jlahna Chatman of Walls- Educational Specialist in Curriculum and Instruction, Terrica Campbell of Batesville- Social Work, Lance Hall of Olive Branch- Business Management, Lindsey Raburn of Southaven- Secondary English Education, Jordan Pegram of Southaven- Business Marketing, Heather Green of Horn Lake- Criminal Justice, Cassandra Brown of Clarksdale- Educational Specialist in Higher Education, Kandace Coulter of Olive Branch- English, and Veronica White of Southaven- Criminal Justice.
