Admissions

The applicant for admission for enrollment is advised to submit the application for admission well in advance of the period in which enrollment is sought. To facilitate processing, envelopes containing applications should be marked "UM-Booneville" before mailing to the University's Admissions office.Please mail official transcripts from every institution that you have previously attended to the University of Mississippi’s Admissions Office. Registration

You must be admitted to The University of Mississippi to register for classes. Early registration for classes is encouraged. The University reserves the right to limit enrollment, to cancel any class, to reschedule or postpone any class, or to limit registration by degree level. Registration is complete when fee payment is made. Please keep your receipt for fee payment or taxes. If you are registering for classes for the first time or you are having trouble, contact the UM-Booneville Office.

Academic Counseling

Academic counseling is available upon request. Contact 662-844-5622 if you wish to schedule an appointment. Advisors from the Oxford campus will be available during official registration. Undergraduate business students must have their advisor's approval for course registration. Additional contact with the University academic advisor is available through email, by phone, or with an appointment.

Withdrawal And Refund

Students electing to drop and/or add classes, after having been officially enrolled, must complete a DROP-ADD FORM indicating the change to be made. Deadline dates for withdrawals are listed in the academic calendar.

Refunds are computed based on the time of official notification of withdrawal on the following schedule. A full refund will be granted if the class is cancelled.

A list of required textbooks is available at the UM-Booneville Office.

Room Assignments

Information on room assignments will be posted in front of the UM-Booneville Office and on the front door to Holiday Hall.

Class Hours

Most classes meet one night per week, 6:00 to 8:45 p.m., Monday through Thursday, during fall and spring semesters, but some classes may be offered during the day (check schedule or contact the office if you have any questions).

Email Accounts

UM - Booneville students may apply for an email account through The University of Mississippi’s Tupelo office in the Advanced Education Center. Students should mail a photo identification card with their social security number to Ms. Teresa Vails, Distance Learning Technician, at 1918 Briar Ridge Road, Tupelo, MS 38804. Ms. Vails will submit requests to The University of Mississippi Office of Information Technology. Accounts should be created within three work days.

Transcript Requests

Students should call the Transcript Service number listed below in the Frequently Used Numbers to request official copies of their transcript. Unofficial transcripts can be print from Online Services using your Web ID.

Vehicle Registration And Parking

Campus police staff are provided by Northeast Mississippi Community College, and all NEMCC traffic and parking rules should be obeyed. Parking decals may be purchased from the Office of Student Housing in the NEMCC Union

Emergency Closings/Class Cancellations

In the event that an instructor must cancel class, The University of Mississippi will contact students as early as possible by email and/or phone.

Closings of the Advanced Education Center due to weather conditions will be announced by local radio/television stations and on this website. The University of Mississippi - Booneville's closing dates correspond to the closing dates of Northeast Community College.
