Lifetime Learners

At The University of Mississippi learning never retires, and that is why, if you are 65 years or over, we want to invite you to become one of our very special “senior students.” Through the Lifetime Learners Program you can energize your mind, explore interesting topics, pursue subjects you never had time for earlier, and share your wisdom with our young people.

The process is simple and the rewards are great. We hope that you will join the University community in its commitment to a lifetime of learning by participating in the Lifetime Learners Program. Your experience in the world and your eagerness to learn make you a valuable asset in our classrooms.

How Do You Become a Lifetime Learner?

1. Complete an application for admission. No transcripts are required unless you are pursuing a degree. (Continuing Lifetime Learners skip this step and go on to Step 2 below.)

2. On the day classes begin (the first day of late registration), go to the UM-Tupelo Main Office to register for your class. Enrollment is on a space available basis. When you are registered for class, the UM- Tupelo staff will notify the UM Financial Aid Office so that a tuition waiver can be applied to your account. It’s that simple!
