NYC: On Location, October 3 - 7
The Academic Traveler presents New York City: On Location, an educational travel program dedicated to the film and television set in New York City. New York has long been a top location for the television and movie industry.
Academic Travelers will…
- Tour the city and see sites from film and television such as Spider-Man, Friends, The Cosby Show, Men in Black, Ghostbusters, Breakfast at Tiffany’s, Seinfeld, Rosemary’s Baby, and many more
- Attend sound and film editing demos at the American Museum of the Moving Image
- Attend the 45th New York Film Festival at Lincoln Center
- Visit the Museum of Modern Art and its film archives on a before-hours private tour
- Tour the spectacular Radio City Music Hall
- Take an optional Sopranos or Sex and the City bus tour, or the Circleline cruise to enjoy the city’s famous skyline
- Enjoy a farewell dinner at a glamorous New York City restaurant
The program fee is $1295 per person (double occupancy). This fee includes airfare, lodging, museum admissions, tour fees, a farewell dinner, a Metrocard and pre-trip educational material.
The tour director for New York: On Location is Laura Antonow, former NYC resident and adjunct assistant professor of art at the University of Mississippi.
