Head to the BIG APPLE and join thousands of Mississippians in the early summer for a southern gathering with city flare in Central Park.
Highlights for the Academic Travelers:
- Private MOMA Tour (Metropolitan Museum of Art). View the latest exhibits with an expert docent before normal museum operating hours.
- Broadway Play: Escape into the musical world of Broadway. Musical selection (TBA)
- Chelsea Market and Meatpacking District Tour: Learn about the different food markets while sampling some of the delectable foods from each tour stop along the way.
- Private Dinner at the Italian restaurant, il Buco. Dine with the Fabulous Five Founding Members of the Mississippi Picnic in il Buco’s 200 year-old Wine Cellar. Experience old world Italian charm and ambience.
- 30th Annual Mississippi Picnic in Central Park: Dine on catfish and hushpuppies, mix and mingle with Mississippi folk from all across the New York Metro area and from afar!
The 30th Annual Mississippi Picnic trip cost is $1800 per person. The registration deadline is April 15th. A non-refundable deposit of $300 is due at this time with the remainder due two weeks prior to the departure date.
