Writing Competition Teacher Workshop

The University of Mississippi Writing Project and the Division of Outreach will sponsor the second University of Mississippi Writing Competition. The theme for 2009 is “Celebration of Place.” We will kick off the celebration with a teacher workshop on Place-Based Writing on September 16, 2009, at the Yerby Center on the Oxford campus. The workshop cost per teacher participant is $75, which will include lunch and materials. We want to give you teaching strategies to help your students as they think critically about their surroundings while honing their writing skills. Please note, that for an additional $20 fee, this workshop will qualify as .5 CEU credit.
