University of Mississippi Academic Invitational Tournament

The 2008 University of Mississippi Academic Invitational Tournament (UMAIT) will take place on March 1, 2008, at The University of Mississippi. We expect to welcome 64 teams in the competition. The tournament is sponsored by the Office of Summer School.

General Information
Registration check-in for UMAIT will begin at 7:45 a.m. and will end at 8:25
a.m. in the lobby of Conner Hall. All teams must check-in at the
registration table before competing. Round One will begin at 8:30 a.m.; if
a team does not arrive in time for its 8:30 a.m. match, the match will be
forfeited.
In each round, there will be 16 concurrent matches . Therefore, 32
teams will have no match from 8:30 to 9 a.m.; the other 32 teams will have
no match from 9 to
9:30 a.m. During the time that your team does not have a match, we
encourage you and your team to enjoy our beautiful campus. Please remember
to return in time for your match. Any team that is not in place at the
scheduled time will forfeit the match.
The Food Court in the Student Union will be open for lunch, but it will not
be open for breakfast. This option is probably best for lunch because you
will not have to leave campus. There are a variety of choices for lunch
(Home Zone, Bene Pizza, Chick-fil-A, Salad Garden, Grill Works, Java City,
Montague's Deli, Bene Pasta, Torilla's, and Sushi Bar). The Ole Miss
Bookstore in the Union will also be open if some of your students would
like to browse or shop after lunch.
