Professional Development

The Office of Professional Development and Non-Credit Education is dedicated to providing educational programs and activities for diverse audiences throughout the state, region, and nation. Activities are conducted through a variety of means, including on-site conferences, statewide and regional meetings, in-house customized training, as well as interactive videoconferencing and satellite seminars.

For Attorneys

The Center for Continuing Legal Education coordinates numerous seminars on a variety of subject matters for lawyers, judges, paralegals, and legal assistants. Each seminar is approved for mandatory continuing legal education (CLE) credit hours in Mississippi, and many of our courses are accredited for other states as well. By attending these serious yet relaxed seminars, law professionals will gain new insight into our legal system, a better understanding of emerging legal trends, and make valuable legal contacts.

For Those in Business

Through programs such as the PMBA; the non-credit online courses of AMA and Ed2Go; and the Mississippi School of Banking, the Office of Professional Development and Non-Credit help working adults acquire new, updated or complementary skills to achieve or maintain proficiency in their current profession, earn noncredit education certificates, prepare for professional certification examinations, qualify for promotion in their organizations, transition into a new career, meet profesional continuing education requirements, prepare for graduate entrance examinations, or return to the workforce.
