  2. What is the difference between Ole Miss Online & Independent Study courses?
    • Ole Miss Online is a semester based course. These courses begin and end the same time as on-campus classes and operate on a scheduled syllabus.
    • Independent Study courses are correspondence courses. These courses are self-paced and with a year to complete a course.

  3. Is an Ole Miss Online Course just like a classroom course?
    • YES, it will cover the same material and be taught by an instructor approved by the Chair of the Department
    • But an Ole Miss Online course frees you from having to come to a physical location on campus.
    • Instead, you access the course via a web site on the Internet.
    • You work through assignments that are posted at the web site to accomplish the requirements for the course.
    • But don't be fooled into thinking you do not have to go to your online class every week - You need to spend as much time on your online class as you do for a traditional classroom course.
