The Grand Casino-Tunica
The Grand Casino-Tunica is the largest gaming resort between Las Vegas and Atlantic City. The Grand offers three luxurious hotels; a world class Convention Center; state-of-the-art event and entertainment center; the Links at Cottonwoods, an 18–hole Hale Irwin-designed golf course; Willows Sporting Clays and Hunting Center; indoor and outdoor pools; tennis courts; seven great restaurants; a full-service business center, and more.
We will be staying in the Veranda Hotel, with 568 rooms and suites; it's surrounded by the golf course and overlooks the Grand Lake, adjacent to outdoor tennis courts, and situated close to the Grand Convention Center.

Average Temperature and What to Wear
The average high temperature in April is 72 degrees; the low, 51 degrees; and the mean, 62 degrees. That being said, this is Mississippi so it could very well be 78 degrees or 32 degrees. April is also one of the wettest months in Mississippi.
If you join us for the Clarksdale Blues Excursion, wear comfortable shoes and casual clothes. We will be out and about after 6 p.m., so a light jacket, pullover, or sweater might ward off the chilly Delta night.
You will definitely need some type of wrap for the Tunica Queen Dinner Cruise. The wind off the Mississippi River could be crisp—bring your Chap Stick! The attire for this event is informal.
For Beale Street it’s back to comfortable shoes and informal to casual dress, depending on your plans for the night. Again, a light wrap will probably be welcome.
As Mississippians, our best piece of advice is to dress in layers so that you can add or subtract as needed. Remember what they say: “If you don’t like the weather right now, just wait a minute. It’ll change.”
